Global Growth Brings Voice Biometrics Conference To Singapore

2012 August 22

Rapid growth of mobile communications and e-commerce creates the need for strong anti-fraud and authentication methods in the regions of Eastern Asia, Africa, the Pacific Islands, Australia and Japan. That’s why Opus Research is making Singapore the venue for our next Voice Biometrics Conference (VBC), November 7-8, 2012.

Over the past six years, VBC has become a popular venue for customer care and security specialists in financial services, telecommunications, government services, insurance, healthcare and mobile to meet with technology and solutions providers involved with voice biometrics and multi-factor authentication, identification and security. This year, we start with a “Pre-Conference Clinic” to bring everyone up to speed on the basics surrounding the core technology, its applications and use cases, deployment alternatives and financial justifications.

During the following day-and-a-half, the program will feature speakers from the leading technology providers, security specialists, system integrators, customer care specialists and enterprise executives who describe their “real-world” experience and help surface and discuss the issues that are shaping the Voice Biometric landscape in the coming years. Speakers come from Agnitio, IBM, RSA, Nuance, SpeechPro, Uniphore, VoiceTrust and many others.

The agenda includes “Reality Checks” where speakers describe state-of-the-art implementations, including rapid, secure authentication for banking activities; proof-of-life to reduce fraudulent government payments; multifactor authentication for mobile commerce; and simple password reset applications for businesses of all sizes.
